Erica graduated Prescott College with a BA in Psychology and Human Development. She is graduating this fall with her Masters Degree in the science of clinical Mental Health Counseling. She looks forward to connecting with the clients and their families at Adolescent Advocates in both individual and group therapy sessions.

Kiersten Simon, M.Ed., CAADC, CMC

Therapist

Kiersten earned her M.Ed. in 2008 and her CAADC in 2009 with concentrations in Curriculum Development, Clinical Supervision, Educational Leadership and Executive Coaching. Specializing in adolescent and adult substance use disorders, Kiersten has worked in various outpatient settings and is passionate about meeting clients and their families where they are and supporting them on their journey through healing and recovery.

Allyson Andrisani, MS

Allyson Andrisani, MS

Therapist

Allyson graduated her BSRN from Boston College and worked for various pediatric settings for several years. She then earned her MS in Addiction Counseling from Drexel University. Allyson completed her clinical internship at Recovery Centers of America. She has experience working with teenagers, young adult, and adults. Allyson facilitates our young adult group and enjoys helping clients throughout their recovery journeys.

Bridget Ward

Office Manager

Bridget is our office manager here at Adolescent and Young Adult Advocates. After graduating high school, she started volunteering as a peer counselor at A2 and then went to work in the treatment industry. After working at Recovery Centers of America at Devon for a year, she decided to return to Adolescent Advocates and officially join our team. Bridget is passionate about supporting young people in their recovery journey. Bridget received the Community Youth Leadership award from Caron Treatment Centers in 2022.

Patti Anne McAndrews

Patti Anne McAndrews

Founder / Director

Patti Anne set up the DUI system for Montgomery County in 1984 and started the Rehab After School program in 1986. She then founded Adolescent and Young Adult Advocates in 2005 to meet the overwhelming need for adolescent care and expanded to include young adults in 2006. Patti Anne has extensive training in many different areas of the field and is certified in Addiction, Mental Health and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). She has trained many young professionals including CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia fellows and interns from Bryn Mawr College, University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, and Rosemont College. She has also been featured in the multi-media training publication, “Reaching Teens” published by the American Pediatric Association. Of her many jobs and accomplishments Patti Anne finds herself most at home with a room full of teenagers and a staff of intelligent eager minds.

Ross Friedman

Ross Friedman

Chief Executive Officer, RCA at Devon

Ross has an extensive 25-year career dedicated to saving lives of those struggling with mental health and substance use illnesses. As an executive, he has led healthcare organizations which provided both substance use and behavioral health care for inpatient services, outpatient services, as well as crisis response care. Ross has led hospitals to award winning stature on several occasions through ensuring high quality care, positive patient outcomes, budgetary control, a continuous focus on the mission of treatment, and exemplary regulatory review.

Ross has skilled experience in strategic planning, workforce development, performance improvement, and has been lead author on scientific clinical publications in health care literature journals in the field. He has successfully led both clinical and operational departments to successful outcomes in multiple levels of care. Ross has worked directly in many roles including maintenance staff, direct care technician, social worker, unit manager, as a director of many other departments both clinically and operationally, was COO of several hospitals, as well as CEO of others.

He achieved his master’s degree from New York University, his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, and his clinical license 2004.
