Treatment for Co-occurring Mental Health Disorder & Addiction

It’s important to treat both addiction and mental health symptoms to increase the chances of a happy, healthy life in recovery. That’s why at select RCA locations, we also provide a specialized outpatient treatment program for those with a primary mental health diagnosis and co-occurring substance use disorder.

Whether you struggle with substance use or not, if you’re living with multiple mental health struggles, we can help you.

Outpatient Mental Health Treatment at Recovery Centers of America

RCA’s outpatient mental health programs are designed to meet your needs, delivered in a combination of individual and group therapy formats that allow you to get advice, support and insight from other patients who have experienced the same problems.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

is an intensive form of group therapy, meeting five days a week. You spend several hours a day engaged in treatment sessions, as well as meet individually with your therapist and receive medication management.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

is three days per week with doctor visits every other week and medication management. You will attend group sessions and meet individually with your therapist and receive medication management.

General Outpatient (GOP)

includes weekly groups, meeting with a therapist and medication management.

Each of these three levels of care integrates proven modes of treatment—cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)—delivered in a group environment.
