Loreal is an Air Force Veteran. She is passionate about helping others and inspiring them in their recovery journey. She has an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health. Most recently, she worked for Blinded Veteran’s Association assisting Veteran’s in accessing services of all kinds.

After a family member nearly passed and his mom, dad and brothers found their relationships strained, finding a new life became paramount.  Achieving personal recovery 8 years prior, he struggled to help those closest with Family addiction issues.

He chose to pursue a second career in the Recovery Field.

5 years ago, Craig felt led to a position in Peer Recovery and wanted to utilize his pain to help others. After serving in both the Homeless and Community peer populations he was assigned to the Hospital Emergency Room and Mental Health Wards in Anne Arundel County to help those experiencing overdoses and Substance Use Disorders. It is here where he found a new purpose to help those struggling to overcome both their addictions and find a way to recovery.

Craig is excited to join RCA as the Mid Atlantic Interventionist so he can help those find recovery before the visits to Emergency rooms and Mental health wards begin.

Marcus Smith is CEO of Recovery Centers of America Capital Region. In this role, his responsibilities include overseeing a team of world-class addiction professionals, providing superior substance use disorder treatment. He also interacts with the local community, extending the support and resources available through RCA. Prior to this role, Smith served as Clinical Director at the facility.

Before joining RCA, Smith served as Executive Director of Calvary Healthcare, Director of a 75-bed Adolescent Residential Treatment Center for Adventist Behavioral Health and Wellness Services, as well as overseeing the RTC graduate internship program.

Smith is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia, specializing in the treatment of adults suffering from depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, sexual trauma and trauma generally.

He is also a member of The American Colleges of Healthcare Executives, a clinical member of the Association of the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, and holds affiliations with American Counseling Association, Maryland Counseling Association, DC Mental Health Counseling Association, among other clinical professional bodies.

I am currently the Director of Admissions and I oversee the front desk and Receptionist staff. My main objective is to grow our census and to assist the Clinical Team in improving and maintaining a high standard for the facility that supports our patients in the goal of being the best versions of themselves.

I previously worked for CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield for 18 years as a manager in different roles from Accounting and Finance to Claims. In my accounting role, I was tasked to make sure that we stayed in compliance with GAAP and in Claims my focus was ensuring that all Claims Processors worked as efficient and as productive as humanly possible.

I am currently on a monthly committee with the Charles County Chambers of Commerce working to create a task force to assist law enforcement in situations where RCA can provide support for those that would benefit from treatment in comparison to incarceration.

Associates degree in accounting through Strayer University. Major has recently changed to pursuing a Masters’s in Health Care Management. Certificates include Project Management, Operations Management, Management Training, Ethics & Wellbeing, Treating Addiction with the Justice involved Population and LGBTQAI Culturally Competencies.

Before beginning his career in medicine, Dr. Jeffrey Gall spent a year and a half on active duty for training in the USMC Reserve, completing Boot Camp at Paris Island and continuing to a course in Ground Radio Repair at 29 Palms, CA. He left the Marines with an Honorable Discharger as a Sergeant (E-5), having served briefly during Operation Desert Storm.

Dr. Gall completed his BS in Biology from The George Washington University, and entered medical school at GW, finishing in 2001. Following an internship in 2002 in Internal Medicine at North Shore – NYU in New York, Dr. Gall completed his Emergency Medicine Residency in GWU in 2005, becoming Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine in 2006. Following his residency, he worked at a variety of Locum Tenens jobs in the ER, before accepting a job as Assistant Professor of Medicine with The University of Maryland. He worked in Baltimore City for four years before taking a leave of absence for 6 months to do a training program in Retrieval Medicine in Queensland, Australia. This job involved helicopter and fixed-wing transports of ill patients from remote sites. Since returning from Australia, Dr. Gall has worked in Maryland exclusively, both on the Eastern Shore and with the UM Capital Region Health system in PG County. One thing he’s noticed during his time in emergency departments: Patients who frequently re-visit the ER for substance abuse.

His interest in addiction treatment, and for having a good option for intervention to treatment, lead him to Recovery Centers of America. In addition to being Board Certified in Addiction Medicine, Dr. Gall is also personally attached to substance use disorder treatment, as he has watched family members navigate through a confusing and often frustrating process of treatment and relapse. He is eager to contribute to RCA’s mission of breaking the stigma of addiction and getting patients effective, comprehensive addiction treatment.
