MAYS LANDING, N.J. –

On Tuesday, June 26, Recovery Centers of America (RCA) will be hosting an educational summit at their New Jersey branch.

Located at 5034 Atlantic Avenue in Mays Landing and running from 6 to 8:30 p.m., all are welcome to attend this informational training session and will be given the opportunity to ask questions.

More than 200 community members, families and medical professionals fighting the opioid epidemic in South Jersey will come together for an evening of free resources, information, food and beverages. RCA will be extending the event to the facility’s outdoor space to accommodate the large crowd.

Through the event, RCA hopes to lay the groundwork for battling opioid addiction in South Jersey, and to that end its addiction treatment and recovery specialists will be providing guests with free resources, support, and hands-on tactics to fight the addiction crisis currently gripping the nation.

Scheduled topics include a “Community Approach to Recovery” and “Family Involvement in Treatment,” as well as discussions on standards of care and outpatient services. RCA Lighthouse CEO Dr. David Dorschu will introduce the event.

In a statement on their website, Dorschu calls working with clients “a privilege,” and considers his staff’s responsibility to its patients a “sacred trust and opportunity.”
